Try Tooth Implants to Fight Aging

No, tooth implants will not make you younger or stop the aging process, but according to information from one Calagary dentist, implants can make you look younger.

It seems that when you lose a tooth your jawbone can shrink which will make you look older. Implants will help to prevent this process.

Now these aren't your father's implants. Dentistry has come a long way since dear old dad's time.

From Dr. Wasik:

A dental implant is a small titanium cylinder that is inserted into the bone of the jaw to replace the root of a missing tooth. It behaves exactly like a real root - even bonding naturally with the jawbone. The new ceramic tooth is attached permanently on top of the implant. The new tooth looks, feels and works like your existing teeth.

If you haven't lost as tooth, but just want a better looking smile, you can try whitening existing teeth, or having veneers put on.

Veneers will give you a beautiful smile by with improvement of the color and shape of your teeth. A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain, pretty much like a fake fingernail, that is bonded to the front of the tooth.

Either way you go, dental aesthetics can improve your look and self confidence.
