Ohio Bill Would Declare Republicans Unfit to Adopt
With tongue firmly planted in his cheek, Ohio State Sen. Robert Hagan has introduced a bill in the Ohio Legislature that would prohibit Republicans from adopting or serving as foster parents.
Hagan has said that "credible research" shows that adopted children raised in Republican households are more at risk for developing "emotional problems, social stigmas, inflated egos, and alarming lack of tolerance for others they deem different than themselves and an air of overconfidence to mask their insecurities."
He admits his measure was introduced in response to a Republican bill that would ban gays from the same activities introduced by Rep. Ron Hood.
